Job Title: Play Coach

Location: Midlothian, VA (open to other nearby areas)

Position Type: Part-time, weekday mornings, early afternoons, and weekends

Pay: Starting at $30/class + equipment transport, initially 1-2 classes per week

About The Play Drop

The Play Drop is a movement and play-based program for toddlers and preschoolers, designed to encourage confidence, coordination, and creativity through child-led activities. Our classes are playful, high energy, and designed to give kids a fun, hands-on experience while supporting their growth.

Job Description

We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic Play Coaches to lead our Play Drop classes. You will guide toddlers and preschoolers through engaging movement and learning stations, support child-led exploration, and help maintain a safe, fun environment.

Ideal candidates:

• Preschool or elementary school teachers

• PE, fitness, dance, OT, or similar backgrounds

• Enjoy working with young children and supporting their development

• Available weekday mornings and early afternoons

• Bonus, not required: Ability to transport equipment (SUV or similar vehicle preferred - please note this in your application).

Responsibilities:

• Lead small group classes of toddlers and preschoolers

• Demonstrate activities and guide children as needed

• Support a child-led environment while ensuring safety

• Set up and take down equipment as needed

• Engage with parents and answer questions about the program

Requirements

• Experience working with children (teaching, coaching, OT, etc.)

• Reliable transportation

• Energetic, patient, and positive attitude

• Ability to commit to a consistent weekday morning/early afternoon and weekend schedule
